Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will meet with your Driver Guide from BU&M TOURS Ltd. He will brief you about your 4 days at Rwanda Volcanoes National Park. You will be driven to the hotel of your reservation in Kigali, (here we can recommend Park Inn by Radisson Hotel, Hôtel de Mille Collines, Sainte Famille Hotel, Heaven Restaurant and Boutique Hotel, and Marriott) you will take lunch and some refreshments after you will proceed to Musanze. You will arrive at your Musanze accommodation in time for dinner and have a good night's rest. Overnight stay Budget: Red Rocks Rwanda Midrange: Le bambou Gorilla lodge Luxury: Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/ Wilderness Bisate Day 2: After an early breakfast at your hotel/lodge, your driver will take you to the park's headquarters at Kinigi, where you will attend 20 or 30 minutes of briefing about the park and the Gorilla family they choose for you to visit. From here, you will be driven to the starting point, where you will meet your ranger guides and porters whom you will need for support. Gorilla families are constantly on the move throughout the park, and it can be a 1-8 hour round trip hike (plus the 1-hour viewing). Based on your fitness level and preference we will recommend a short, medium, or longer hike. Once with the gorillas, spend time getting close to them, feeding them, and meeting the entire gorilla family, including babies. The Volcanoes National Park is home to twelve gorilla families, all of which are fully habituated. The groups, or troops, consist of at least one silverback along with several females and youngsters. Ending the Gorillas Family visit, you will meet your driver guide at the starting point waiting for you, and drive you back to your hotel/lodge for a late lunch. Later in the evening, you will take on the Iby’ Iwacu Cultural Center visit for an experience of the Rwandan culture. You will return for your first night hotel for dinner and have a good night's rest. Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking and Departure On this day, you will rise early once again and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Afterward, you will drive to Volcanoes National Park for an exhilarating golden monkey tracking experience. While searching for the golden monkeys, you may also encounter other fascinating primates in the lush forest. Following the tracking activity, you will return to the hotel for lunch. Subsequently, you will be driven back to Kigali, where you will have a refreshment and later have a night Tour of your preference in Kigali. Day 4: A sumptuous breakfast early, and embark on a 1-3 hours Kigali city tour. The city excursion includes visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site, and you will visit the Nyamirambo Women’s Center for a cultural tour. Led by local women, this tour offers a unique glimpse into the lives and traditions of Rwandans. Here there are plenty of beautiful handcrafts that you can buy for the Rwanda souvenir. You will go back to the Hotel for a late lunch and departure at Kigali airport after the city tour and lunch. Who are the porters in the Volcanoes National Park? Porters might be needed to help you around with your luggage such as movement around. The gorilla trekking porters give your assistance as you go about with your trekking.
